The owner of this vessel desired an updated electrical system. The following photographs detail the process of removing the existing system, and installing a hinged panel system customized to the owners' specifications. Click to enlarge This photo depicts the polymer sub straight known as "Star-Board" which we have chosen to use for mounting the circuit blocks we will install to allow for a neat and workman like installation. Click to enlarge Now we have separated, and temporarily identified the circuits. We have also begun to terminate the a/c side of the terminal blocks. These connections are the "Load Side" of the infrastructure. The viewer may also note that ALL of our connections are made in accordance to A.B.Y.C. (American Yacht and Boat Council) standards using U.L. (Underwriters Laboratories) materials. Click to enlarge The opening is ready for a "dry fit" of the new panel. Behind this cut-out is a release mechanism which allows the panel to drop down for maintenance access. (shown in the following frame) Click to enlarge The panel is in place (still "dry fit"), and dropped down to access the infrastructure which has yet to be attached. Click to enlarge The new panel!
